well, it's the very first blawg from me in quite a while. i was going to stay at xanga, but i decided to make a fresh start of everything. believe it or not, a lot of things have changed since xanga times. i've since gotten a job (and have managed to stay there), two cars, a place of my own (with roommates), and a few other things. i vaguely remember something i wrote back then about having a specific order of wanting to do things. it was something about house, car, blah blah blah. whatever it was (i can't be bothered to go back and look for it), i've done a good bit of the list, so now what?
meanwhile, it's always so difficult to do the first post. so many thoughts run through my mind about what the hell i should write about. do i want to blawg about this or that? should i do it in this style or that style? damn all of that; i'm just gonna do me. i'm gonna stay true to who i am: a grammar nazi who takes immense pleasure in other people's misfortunes. be that as it may, i intend on taking this blawg down a path that chronicles my experiences at work, at home, and at volleyball. keep in mind that i can't remember every little thing that happens. i am, after all, 31 years old... also keep in mind that i tend to have a life outside of blawging, so i won't try to do this every ten minutes or so. plus, this is primarily for my own entertainment anyway, so there. i do hope to garner some gathering of faithful followers during this thing.
i wanted to blawg about my very first year of teaching, but i was so overwhelmed by the badness of the students that i lost my ability to multitask. i wanted to blawg about my second year of teaching, but i was so lazy that i lost my ability to work. they say the third time is a charm, and three has always been my lucky number, so...
even now i'm kind of lazy and don't really feel like doing this. it's one of those "what the hell was i thinking" and "how am i gonna keep this up for more than a week" times. i'm gonna get it together, though. at least i'll try to do it.
this morning i really wanted to go to church because i haven't been in so long, and by "so long" i mean something along the lines of...since february. i feel pretty bad about this extreme hookey stunt, but i have my reasons. today is our church's 121st anniversary and i was planning on going back. maybe in the back of my head i didn't wanna go through that whole awkward "where YOU been" routine where i have to come up with who knows what for who knows how many people. i'm too old for that. well, i went to the grocery store because i have to keep a constant supply of bacon on hand to keep the world from ending.
money is a strange thing. i've heard of this "cash" thing, but i had always dismissed it as a myth, you know, like that myth about those long underground tubes that people travel through in trains to get from place to place. c'mon...green pieces of cloth paper that can be exchanged for goods and services? what is that all about? i can do the same thing by slishing my bank card. a "slish" by the way is the sound that a card makes when it is run through a machine. i've got my friend titi to thank for that one.
ok, then eric (one of my roommates; i'm sure he'll be the topic of a few of these) and i are apparently going to have a mini game nite here with a couple friends. you might not know this, but i play board games...a lot. these people coming over, crystal and todd, are funny. it's like when those married couples invite over married couples and they're all...there together. that's how it is: crystal and wesley, todd and eric. it will be fun. it's at the very least going to keep my mind off the dreadful week or so i have left before school starts back up again...meh. did i use that word correctly???
ok, i'm going to end this train wreck of a post. i promise i'm not usually this boring. this is just first time jitters. my plan is to blawg about this sitcom of a life that i have been forced to live. it will be amusing to me at all times, to you as well...maybe. it depends on your sense of humor, and of course your knowledge of me.
peace out.
PS: i'm trying to figure out how to make it so that my theme song plays automatically in the background. anybody know how? meanwhile, i made it and i love it. it's simple and to the point..."everybody hates wesley"
